MOTORBIKES

I am into classic Motorbikes and have a small collection of four at the moment, this just seems to keep on growing ! the shed door already has to be levered shut

Some pics with the basic details

1953 Sunbeam S7 Deluxe
This bike is a 500cc twin with an overhead camshaft engine, not very fast as the engine was derated to 29 hp because the final drive was found to be weak.

Shaft drive and fourspeed gearbox in line with the frame, nothing is new, BMW please note !

Very comfy to ride with baloon tyres and sprung saddle, even though it has minimal plunger back suspension.

1969 Triumph Trophy
No pic as yet but I am working on it ! This bike is one produced by the BSA TRIUMPH merger and is a 250cc single.

It was produced for the US market and is really a sreet scramble style BSA B25, badged as a Triumph

Great fun to ride but a pig to start due to the 10:1 compression, will top 70 mph given time

1964 Norton Dominator
A 650SS model of this famous featherbed framed twin. Yes the handling is as good as it is said to be, it will outperform many later and a few modern bikes

Top speed well over the ton and bags of low down grunt from a typically flexible Norton engine.

Lovely period rockers machine, looks good riden in jeans and and a leather jacket as well as in full rubber !

1978 Triumph Bonnieville
The final 750cc oil in frame model of the long running Triumph twin, So called because of the 3" top frame tube used as the oil tank.

5 speed gearbox with the pedals on the "wrong" side to satisfy stupid Americans who are unable to tell the difference between gears and brake !

I have fitted a belt primary drive and SU carburettor for the sake of useability, the carb gives no flat spots and 70 mpg.
